Week 23

Week 23, day 1, Rubber Boot Journalist saw spring was peeking out this weekend. Take a gander at what's blooming in the Rubber Boot Journalist's yard right now. A darn shame she can't see it from her window where she's working on prunes today. Maybe this afternoon she'll head out to the patio and be surrounded by them while she heads to Conspiracy.

Week 23, day 2, Rubber Boot Journalist is on the road taking photos today so no writing.

Week 23, day 3, Rubber Boot Journalist is back in the office and finishing up prunes and peaches. Gosh makes me ready for summer fruit! And it's switched from

warm spring sunshine to much needed rain so I'll cozying up to the fire when I head to Conspiracy this afternoon.

Week 23, day 4, Rubber Boot Journalist was out in the mud and the muck taking pictures for the prune article then stopped for a Latte only to find out their steamer was broken so went on to the next coffee shop. Was not a day for a cold drink! Managed to write a new scene too.

Week 23, day 5, Rubber Boot Journalist was racing around taking photos and meeting deadlines and didn't make it posting yesterday.  Was covering a tornado!  For those of you not on the west coast this is big news here.  We rarely see them.  Covered on a couple of years ago that damaged some nut orchards just like this one did.

Week 22

Week 22, Day 1, Rubber Boot Journalist is digging back in to finish nut articles that are under pressing deadline, but she's also squeezing in time to head out to conspiracy.















Week 22, day 2, Rubber Boot Journalist is working on rice and perennial grass research and out on a photo shoot before heading to Conspiracy for a little fun time with Nate and C.J. Here's a couple more pics of Toketee Falls.  When I looked at the fall it makes me think of a wedding dress.

Week 22, day 3, Rubber Boot Journalist is working on rangeland and hogs today and this afternoon slipping back to Conspiracy to shake up C.J. and Nate.

Week 22, day 4, Rubber Boot Journalist is working on rangeland and pork today then I'm headed to Conspiracy to solve a murder mystery!












Week 22, day 5, Rubber Boot Journalist finished the rice article.  Yeah! Now she's moving on to the rangeland piece and out to take photos today.  And back to Conspiracy this afternoon to find that murderer.

Week 21

Week 21, day 1, Rubber Boot Journalist got another assignment so adding research on perennial grass for rangeland to the list of articles. Also heading back to Conspiracy today to write some new scenes. Could use a little break by the ocean.














Week 21, day 2, Rubber Boot Journalist is working on another nut article and weed management in prunes.  Didn't get to Conspiracy yesterday, but really going to try to get there today.

Week 21, days 3, 4, 5, Rubber Boot Journalist postings the Rubber Boot Journalist has been offline because of poor internet but she was out researching on the coast plotting out the next book.

Week 20

Week 20, day 1, Rubber Boot Journalist is starting a new month with new articles that includes almonds, pistachios, peaches, pork, and prunes.  I'm posting pics of peaches being harvested.  Oh man I'm dying for a fresh peach now!  I'm also headed back to conspiracy to do continue C.J. and Nate's story.  A busy month and it's being kicked off with rain.  Yeah!

Week 20, day 2, Rubber Boot Journalist is frustrated! Spent the morning making calls for interviews and couldn't reach anyone! So on to fiction. I've got the teapot on and heading to Conspiracy to see what C.J. and Nate are up to. Last I checked they fallen into a bin of fish so I have to find out how they get out.

Week 20, day 3&4, Rubber Boot Journalist was out playing hooky yesterday so is back in the office today buckling down to finish a rice article and work on pistachios and peaches.  I'm also headed back to Conspiracy to whip C.J. and Nate into shape.

Week 20, day 5, Rubber Boot Journalist is working on pigs this morning and taking a trip to Conspiracy to get Nate and C.J. out of their latest fix.
